Mayor Brown and Members of Council invite you to celebrate Filipino Heritage Month with Halo-Halo

Filipino Independence Day is an annual national holiday in the Philippines observed on June 12, commemorating the independence of the Philippines from Spain. To celebrate this occasion, the City of Brampton will be hosting a public “Halo-Halo” event at City Hall on June 13th, in partnership with the Federation of Filipino Canadians of Brampton (FFCB)

The event will be hosted by Mayor Brown and Members of Council and will include an opening ceremony, musical and dance performances, tasty refreshments provided by local restaurant sponsors, and of course, halo-halo – a popular Filipino cold dessert

The event schedule is as follows:

5:00 PM – Doors Open

5:30 PM – Opening Ceremonies

6:00 PM – Musical and Dance Performances

6:30 PM – Reception Featuring Traditional Treats

8:00 PM – Event Ends
