31-year-old Pinay beauty queen April Love Jordan passes away
Filipina beauty queen April Love Jordan passed away on Friday, June 21, after battling liver cancer, according to a report by Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph) on Monday, June 24.
The 31-year-old beauty queen competed in Miss World Philippines 2012 where she was crowned as third princess.
Miss World Philippines 2012 Queenie Rehman took to Instagram to express her grief over the passing of her friend. She shared videos of them jamming together to Beyonce’s “Love on Top” inside a car, as well as a clip of April where she was asked what she felt after she passed on the crown to her successor.
“I’m lost for words April.. I just can’t accept that you’re gone. We won’t be able to have these wonderful moments together,” Queenie said.
“I know that you’re in good place right now and we will truly miss you. You’ve fought hard in life till your very last breath,” she continued.
The beauty queen expressed how grateful she was to meet April and be one of her close friends. “We love you and we will miss you so much,” she said.
Aside from Queenie, Pageant coach Norman Tinio and a group of pageant enthusiasts, Pageanthology 101, also mourn April’s death.
“I extend my deepest sympathies to the family of beauty queen April Love Jordan who passed away last Friday, June 21. She is 31. May her soul be at peace with our Heavenly Father,” Norman said in a Facebook post.
Prior to joining Miss World Philippines 2012, April had joined several pageants. Her beauty titles include Miss Manila, Sanita Ti Ilocus Sur, second runner-up in Mutya ng Pilipinas 2006, and grand winner in the 2009 International Beauty & Model Festival.
She was also a finalist in Miss Philippines Earth 2006 where she represented Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon), and in Binibining Pilipinas 2009 where she represented Ilocos Sur.
