Moncton, New Brunswick – On World Oceans Day, Saturday June 8, 2019, Parliamentary Secretary Sean Casey and Member of Parliament for Malpeque Wayne Easter, traveled to the Nine Mile Creek Harbour for a tour of the facilities. Construction is currently underway to replace a portion of the wharf and the work should be completed later this fall.

As the harbour is currently at capacity, the work will expand the number of boats used for the commercial fisheries as well as for aquaculture.  Nine Mile Creek Harbour has a dozen lobster boats and an equal number of boats for aquaculture operations such as mussels and oysters.
