Juliana Gomez, the 18-year-old daughter of actors-turned politicians Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres, has officially gotten her high school diploma from Everest Academy Manila in Taguig last Saturday, June 1. The ceremony took place at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Proud dad Richard shares his joy on Instagram with a series of photos, stating, “Today is Juliana Gomez’s graduation. She will soon be entering college.” The teenager herself posts her own image captioned, “My best friends and I made it to the finish line. High school is forever!”

In the meantime, mom Lucy sends her daughter a long message as she anticipates her entry into university, stating, “My Juliana Gomez, my little best friend and answered prayer, off to college now. From the day I found out I was carrying you in my womb, my prayer was/always is that you become the person God designed you to be,” adding, “Be strong, brave, always kind. And as you pursue your dreams, may you find in each day many opportunities to make your corner of the world as wonderful and beautiful as your gentle heart. We are proud of you, always remember that Daddy and I love you with every breath we take.”

According to the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Juliana will be taking up Public Administration at the University of the Philippines, planning to follow in her parents’ footsteps as a politician.

A week prior to her graduation, Juliana broke the internet with Andres Muhlach, the son of actor Aga Muhlach and beauty queen Charlene Gonzales, as the two went to prom together. Richard talks about the night to the press after, saying that his daughter enjoyed her night. He states in Filipino, “She said Andres is kind because of course, his dad is also very nice.”
