Perpetual has now improved its win-loss record to 2-5 after claiming victory over CD14 Designs-Trinity last Monday, May 6 at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao for the 2019 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Developmental League (D-League) eliminations.

The score ended at 86-75 with Peralta gaining his career-high of 33 points, adding on five rebounds and four assists. Edgar Charcos also put the flame in his team, totalling 15 points, eight rebounds, and four assists – with his last seven points sealing the deal for his team in the fourth quarter. Teammates Jefner Egan and Jielo Razon chipped 12 individually. For Trinity, it was John Tayongtong who led the White Stallions at 20 points, while Bobby Balucanag had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. The duo even cut the opponent’s lead to seven in the last two minutes of the game before Charcos made his consecutive shots. So, unfortunately, it was not enough to finally grant Team Trinity a win throughout its eight games.

When talking about snapping their three-game skid, Perpetual Head Coach Frankie Lim remarked, “Our lineup is a little depleted, but I’m still proud of the guys,” referring to the absence of his center Ben Adamos. He added, “They’re given the playing time and they maximize it. Good for them, good learning experience for the team.”
