Twenty-six-year-old Dani Barretto, the eldest daughter of former celebrity couple Marjorie Barretto and Kier Legaspi, is now officially married to non-showbiz boyfriend Xavi Panlilio, after a ceremony at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish in Makati last Tuesday, April 23.

The lifestyle vlogger wore a lace long-sleeved gown by local designer Patricia Santos, as she walked down the aisle accompanied by her mother.

Her Maid of Honor was her sister, actress Julia, while her younger sister Claudia was one of the bridesmaids, along with best friend Bela Padilla, Erich Gonzales, and Moira dela Torre. Seven year-old Erich Barretto, the youngest of Marjorie’s kids, was the flower girl.

Actor-turned-politician Edu Manzano served as the couple’s principal sponsor, while Karla Estrada, Joshua Garcia, Chie Filomeno, Marco Gumabao, and Michele Gumabao were part of the guest list as well, but the father of the bride, Kier, was not present.

Controversy of Kier and Dani’s relationship sparked less than a month after the engagement last February, where the bride shared with the public that only her mother would walk her down the aisle because she had not seen her father for six years, saying, “To be honest, my dad and I never really had a solid relationship. All I know is he’s my dad and that’s it,” elaborating, “I’m not going to say that I didn’t love him. It’s just that, I guess when you’re apart for so long and you already grew up and got used to not having that person around you, you just feel like, not that you don’t need the person, but you feel like you’re okay without them.

In an Instagram post, the 90s Filipino actor responds, “Aynrand, I don’t really say much about our relationship because I am certain that both of us know the truth. I believe that no matter what you say now can never change the truth and the memories we had. I’m here, I will always be here.”
