Presidential children send birthday messages as Duterte turns 74
Children of the President sent their birthday messages to Chief Executive Rodrigo Duterte who turned 74 today, March 28.
Former Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte on Thursday, shared their family photo on his official Facebook account as he greets his father a happy birthday.
“Happy Birthday Pa! Bisag unsa ka kabusy sa imong trabaho, usahay wa na kay tulog, pero makapangita ra gihapon ka og oras para kanamo. Daghang Salamat Pa! Naa ra mi dri kanunay mosuporta kanimo (No matter how busy you are at work, sometimes you do not have enough sleep, but you are still able to have time for us. Thank you so much, Pa! We are always here for you),” he said in his caption.
The young Duterte told his father to take a rest from his busy schedule and that he and his sister Sara “Inday” Duterte-Carpio will handle his critics.
“Pasagdi ng mga tawo nga pabright-bright diha, si Inday nay bahala nila! hehehe Ug kanang mga irong buang Pa, ako nay bahala nila (Pay no attention to those people who are pretending to be bright, Inday will deal with them. And those crazy people, I will take care of them)!” he said.
He continued, “Hinaot nga kanunay ka nga anaa sa maayong panglawas aron sab nga makapadayon ka sa pagserbisyo sa katawhan (I wish you good health so you can continue serving the people).”
Sara, meanwhile, took to Instagram to greet the country’s Chief Executive in a short birthday message.
“A lecture on responsible gadget use by Lolo Digong. #HappyBirthdayPRD! I wish you good health and happiness,” she wrote, along with a photo of her son and the birthday celebrant.
Prior to the Presidential children, Malacañang on Wednesday wished for the President a “sound mind” and a “healthy body” so that he can achieve the goals he had set for the Philippines.
The President earlier said he plans to celebrate his 74th birthday by staying and sleeping at home in Davao City, just like what he did on his 73rd birthday.
Born on March 28, 1945 in Maasin, Southern Leyte, Duterte is the second eldest among the five children of Vicente Duterte, a former governor of Davao, and Soledad Roa, a former school teacher.
