Bianca Lapus reveals she gave birth to her fourth son prematurely

Forty-year-old actress Bianca Lapus has revealed on social media that she has actually already given birth to her fourth son, Ethan, during her 34th week of pregnancy, attesting having preeclampsia to her premature delivery.

In an Instagram post, Bianca tells her fans, “If you haven’t watched my [Instagram] stories, you probably don’t know that I have given birth earlier than I thought,” continuing, “I have been in pain and going through an emotional rollercoaster lately, but God blessed me with people who have been taking care of me, supporting, and showering me and my little preemie with so much love.”

She elaborates, “Thank you to my prayer warriors, too. Some have been sending me messages of encouragement and guidance. Some have been offering breast milk and other ways to help. Forgive me, but I will probably fill your feeds in the coming days about this journey and about my Strong Ethan.” Bianca concludes, “It feels like I’m a first-time [mother] all over again though he is my fourth son.” In the post, Bianca also reveals that her son Ethan has been in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for the past 20 days.

According to the Preeclampsia Foundation, preeclampsia occurs during pregnancy and postpartum affecting both the mother and the baby, happening in 5-8% of pregnancies. The disorder results in high blood pressure and the presence of protein in the urine.

In a separate post, Bianca stays positive by sharing advice to her almost 70 thousand Instagram followers. “One, look for something positive in every day. Even if some days, you have to look a little harder,” she begins, “two, a strong mom is someone who is able to smile every morning like she wasn’t crying at night,” concluding, “three, someone so little has filled my heart so completely.”

Bianca is married to husband Jimmy Velasquez, who she has three sons with, namely Exequiel, Elijah, and now, Ethan. Her eldest child, Isaiah, is with actor-host Vhong Navarro.
