Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil confirm relationship of more than two years

After hints and indefinite confessions, Kapamilya stars Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil finally confirm their official relationship on Gandang Gabi Vice to host Vice Ganda during their guesting last Sunday, February 10.

While promoting their new film Alone/Together, the couple played a game in front of a studio audience with Vice. The host then asks them in Filipino if they are officially together, Enrique having to tell the truth and answering “Yes.

” Vice then asks Liza, “Have you been together for a long time?” which she answers, “Define ‘long time.” As the host specified “two years,” Liza nods “Yes” and hints that she and her co-star first got together in the month of October.

Last October 24, Liza posted a photo of Enrique with heart-shaped balloons in the background captioned, “Never rush something you want to last forever. Grateful to have someone like you in my life,” many speculating that to be the date of their anniversary.

Twenty-one-year-old Liza and 26-year-old Enrique were first paired up in 2014 for primetime teleserye Forevermore, sparking speculations since then. Their film Alone/Together, which is their movie comeback after two years, was written and directed by Antoinette Jadaone and is set to hit cinemas by February 13.

On the same day, Philippine Star writer Ricky Lo also released a “Confessions” piece with Enrique Gil, where the actor and actress elaborated more on their relationship.

“On screen and off screen, I wanna say that we are together,” Enrique states, “During our trips abroad, we enjoy all the fun things – the theme parks, the museums, whatever.” Liza adds, “We do everything that we can’t do here, and shop to our heart’s content. I’ve never gone abroad without him,” as they elaborate on their most recent trip to New York for the film.
