‘Ang Probinsyano’ bit actor found dead in Cavite

An actor in the ABS-CBN’s television series Ang  Probinsyano was found dead in his home in Silang, Cavite on Wednesday, August 29.

In a dzMM report on Thursday, August 30, the family of Arnold Corpuz has been contacting the actor since Monday but was not able to reach him. This prompted the police to enter his house in Barangay Biga 1 and discovered Arnold’s body with multiple stab wounds.

The victim was found wearing only his underwear and socks.

Arnold was living alone but his family said that he often had guests in his home.

In another report by Inquirer.net, Arnold was last seen buying drinks from a convenience store on Sunday; however, a security camera only showed the actor getting out of a vehicle, while his unknown companions remained inside the car.

An alcoholic drink and three glasses were found in his balcony.

The police said Arnold’s two mobile phones and some of his jewelry went missing. They are also yet to identify the perpetrators behind Arnold’s killing and their motives.

Arnold played a role of a mayor who was ambushed in Ang Probinsyano starring Coco Martin, Yassi Pressman, Susan Roces, Edu Manzano, Jhong Hilario, Dawn Zulueta, John Arcilla, and Eddie Garcia, among others.

Arnold also played bit roles in several ABS-CBN television shows like Bagani and Be Careful With My Heart, where he was the driver of “Sir Chief” played by Richard Yap.

Aside from acting, Arnold was also into networking.
