‘Ikaw Lamang’ still leading tele, despite new rival

MANILA – Kantar Media disclosed that, as of Monday, “Ikaw Lamang,” the ABS-CBN series starring Coco Martin and Kim Chiu maintained its No. 1 spot in its time slot despite the premiere of a new rival show.

m., received a nationwide rating of 29.2% on June 30. Rival network GMA-7’s “My Destiny,” on its pilot episode, took a 15% audience share on the same day.

“Ikaw Lamang,” which made its television debut on March 10, has steadily held on to its ranking as one of the most watched TV programs in the Philippines. The popular show garnered an average rating of 30.5%, of the national audience share, landing it in the number 3 spot overall, of most frequently watched shows nationwide.

It is Directed by Malu Sevilla, Avel Sunpongco, and Manny Palo, and also stars Jake Cuenca, Ronaldo Valdez, Cherry Pie Picache, John Estrada, and Angel Aquino.

To show their gratitude to loyal supporters of the show, and by way of celebrating its success at the ratings, Martin and co-star Julia Montes, will hold a special fans’ day on Saturday, July 5, at Market! Market! mall in Taguig. Sharing the stage with them is singer Juris, who sings one of allads on the show’s official soundtrack.
