Two bodies found inside submerged truck in Saskatchewan’s Beaver River
BEAUVAL, Saskatchewan — An RCMP dive team has found two bodies inside a submerged vehicle near Beauval, Sask.
Officials were able to bring up the pickup truck from the bottom of the Beaver River late Monday night and recovered the bodies.
Beauval RCMP say a vehicle with two men inside is believed to have gone off the bridge into the Beaver River early Saturday.
That came shortly after Mounties got a call about a possible impaired driver reportedly speeding around the northern community in a pickup truck.
During the search for the two men and the vehicle, officers discovered debris including vehicle parts at the bridge over the river on Highway 165.
A search using underwater cameras led RCMP to an area of the river that is approximately six metres deep and the discovery of the vehicle and the bodies.
