Are you a person who has experienced trauma and wants to learn ways to help yourself?
Are you a health care provider wanting to add some holistic tools to your toolbox?
This introductory workshop will present an overview of the psychological and mental-emotional effects of a variety of breathing exercises used in the Kundalini Yoga tradition.
Participants will experience the effects of several breathing practices and learn which conditions they may benefit.
“The experience of a traumatic event can result in a cruel sentence – the past replays itself, constantly hijacking one’s capacity to enjoy the present. The past cannot be fixed; we cannot go back and change what happened. The real trauma is that we lose the connection to ourselves to our own curiosity, joy, aliveness, imagination, responsibleness, and spirit. Fortunately that can be fixed.” (Sat Dharam Kaur ND 2017)
“Kundalini Yoga, breathing exercises, and meditation are powerful tools to help us regain the connection to our spirit, find safety within the body, and foster aliveness, flexibility, body-mind integration and joy.” (Sat Dharam Kaur ND 2017).
