Sunshine Cruz says she appreciates how boyfriend Macky has not changed at all

Ever since the two of them started dating, Sunshine Cruz said she appreciated how her boyfriend. Macky Mathay, has not changed a bit in the last two years they have been together.

In an interview on “Magandang Buhay” on Friday, Sunshine said Macky has always been himself and that is what really matters to her.

“’Yung iba ‘di ba kapag nanliligaw, may best foot forward? Kapag nanliligaw lang sobrang effort at sobrang bait, pero kapag na-in love ka na rin, nagbabago. Ang kagandahan kay Macky, ever since, pinakita niya kung sino talaga siya. Hanggang ngayon, ‘yun pa rin siya (In some suitors, there is a best foot forward? When a suitor starts to court a girl, he will exert a lot of effort and is very humble. But if you fall in love with the guy, he changes. What is good about Macky is that, ever since, he showed to me who he really is. Until now, he was the same man),” Sunshine said.

The “Wildflower” actress said it is also important for her to consider her children’s feelings about their relationship. Sunshine has three daughters with actor Cesar Montano.

“Very important sa akin [na tanggap siya ng kids]. Kahit naman noon na may nanliligaw or nagpapa-cute, ang usapan namin ng mga kids, magiging honest kami with each other. Lahat i-o-open up nila sa akin kung ano man ang gusto nila sabihin or ano ang nararamdaman nila. Ganun din ako (It is very important to me that my kids accepted him. Macky, a businessman, fortunately got the approval of the actress’ daughters.

As of now, Sunshine is still waiting for the result of the annulment of her marriage with Cesar. The two parted their ways after the actress claimed that Cesar was having an affair. This allegation was then denied by the actor. Nevertheless, Sunshine said she had learned a lot of things from her failed marriage.

“Marami akong na-discover sa sarili ko nung naging single mom ako.
