MANILA — Rain Or Shine got back into its winning ways in style, dealing Phoenix a 120-99 mauling in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Wednesday night.

The Elasto Painters bludgeoned the Fuel Masters early on, opening a 39-13 lead after the first quarter.

While ROS’s scoring slowed down in the second quarter, its offense bloomed again in the third quarter, making 41 points in the said period and even extending its lead to as high as 39 to seal the blowout.

Ed Daquioag had his best game as an Elasto Painter with 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting with five rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one block as their two-game skid came to an end.

James Yap came off the bench and added 20 points, six rebounds, and one assist for ROS, which shot 55 percent from the field.
