The military reported on Sunday the death of Abu Sayyaf leader Badong Muktadil, a notorious bandit responsible for some kidnapping in Sulu and Saba Malaysia.

According to brig. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, commander of Joint Task Group Sulu, Muktadil was killed in Barangay Silangkan in Parang, Sulu at Saturday midnight while a number of Marines were making rounds in the area. The Abu Sayyaf leader’s cadaver was transferred to CGTB Station Hospital in Barangay Busbus in Jolo, Sulu.

Furthermore, Sobejana said that Muktadil’s death is another downfall for the Abu Sayyaf’s kidnapping and terroristic activities and gave some sort of relief to the residents in Sulu.
