Marcoses to return some of their unexplained wealth

The Marcoses have decided to return their wealth, which has been allegedly amassed from the Philippine government during the presidency of the late Ferdinand Marcos, to help the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte in achieving its big projects.

The president said the family only gave the reason that the father was just “protecting the economy” of the country which was why it seemed the wealth has been kept, and Duterte chose to ‘accept’ whether it was true or not.

The President said that in the conversation he had with the spokesman of the Marcoses, whom he refuses to name drop, the family was ready to “open everything and bring back even a few gold bars” thinking that it might help government.

However, Duterte also said that the value of the wealth to be returned is not a Fort Knox, which means that it is not that big.
