iOS 8 offers free calls, support for Tagalog keyboard

MANILA — There is more for Filipinos in the recently launched, Apple iOS 8!

Though the launching just gave a sped through the perks of the iOS 8, some new features of the system offers more convenience for Filipino users.

Among the features include free Wi-Fi calls and support for different languages including Tagalog.

During the launch,  the company flashed a slideshow presentation of these added features but failed to discuss it in details.

Wi-Fi calling, a newly developed feature of iOS 8, enables users to call contacts through Wi-Fi connection.

Though, the feature is already existing in some Android phones, it will be the first time to be used on iPhones.

• Navigation for china

Voice/Siri:

• WiFi calling
• Speak Screen
• Purchase iTunes content with Siri

Language:

• 24 new diction languages
• Indian, Tagalog, Irish Gaelic, and Slovenian keyboards
• New definition dictionaries for Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Thai, and Turkish Hindi localization
