MANILA — Malacanang spokesperson Edwin Lacierda labeled a newspaper report as “incorrect” after identifying the existence of ‘Tres Marias’ in Malacanang.

The ‘Tres Marias’ are allegedly three women working as bagmen for high officials in the administration.

“The source should update his information.

It’s incorrect,” Lacierda said.

In a press conference, Lacierda — questioning the report on the three ladies allegedly in-charge of fund raising activities in the palace — said facts published by the Daily Tribune were outdated.

The three ladies were identified as Rochelle Ahoro, the personal secretary of the official; Odette Ong, the supposed assistant secretary of administration and finance; and Mary Antoinette Lucile Ortile, the alleged assistant to the Executive Secretary.

However, the Malacanang official for whom the three ladies were reportedly working for was not named in the article.

Lacierda also added that some names implicated in the report were honest employees and are committed in Aquino’s “straight path” while other names had long resigned from government office.

He said the other people mentioned in the news article are honest individuals who report for work daily and are committed to the Aquino administration’s “daang matuwid (straight path).”
