Iza Calzado engaged to boyfriend Ben Wintle

MANILA, Philippines—Iza Calzado has said ‘yes!’
The A Love to Last star is now engaged to boyfriend British-Filipino entrepreneur Ben Wintle after he popped the question on Sunday at the famed-Sonya’s Garden near Tagaytay.
Iza who was overcame with emotions as Ben kneels down to present the engagement ring jokingly bit it and declared, “It’s real!”
The actress couldn’t hold back her tears while the ring was being slipped into her finger. Speechless, she asked Ben what to say. He assured her by giving her a big, warm hug.
“Yes!” Iza said afterwards.
However, the actress who’s known to have a bubbly personality had one condition after saying ‘yes.’
“I have a condition. As long as you shower every night before you go to bed,” Iza said with a big grin. Ben, of course, accepted.
Iza jumped in joy and the couple hugged.
The ceremony was witnessed by the couple’s family and friends. Among the attendees were singer-actress and Iza’s co-star in the original Encantadia, Karylle Tatlonghari-Yuzon; designer Rajo Raurel; fashion stylist Katrina Cruz-Villanueva; and Iza’s manager, Noel Ferrer.
In a tribute to the couple, Karylle recalled in an Instagram post her first meeting with Ben and how she stood as witness to the couple’s journey.
“I watched him gently stay at Iza’s side during the bad times,” she wrote, adding that Ben gained the approval of Iza’s father, Lito, before he passed away in November 2011.
On her birthday in August, Ben described Iza as one of life’s “greatest teachers on how to be loving.”
“I look forward to a future where I can prove to you I have learned something!” he said.
When and where Iza and Ben’s wedding will take place has not been made public yet.
