LPA to bring rains over parts of Luzon Monday: PAGASA
MANILA — The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) spotted 980 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora will cause light to moderate rains over Bicol, Cagayan, Isabela and Quezon, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Monday morning.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers. Light to moderate winds will blow to the south over the western part of the archipelago, and from south to southwest over the rest of the country. The country’s coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said tropical storm “Mawar” is moving west northwest at 10 km/hr, away from the country.
“Mawar” was last spotted 780 km west northwest of extreme northern Luzon, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
