More ‘Negosyo Centers’ in Agusan Norte
BUTUAN CITY—The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Agusan del Norte said it will open more “Negosyo Centers” in the province.
DTI provincial director Gay Tidalgo said at least three more “Negosyo Centers” may possibly be opened before the year ends.
Tidalgo disclosed this during a forum with stakeholders and partner agencies over the weekend, where DTI-Agusan del Norte presented government programs and interventions for marginalized sectors.
DTI’s “Negosyo Centers” are responsible for promoting “ease of doing business and facilitating access to services” for small businesses. It offers business registration assistance, advisory services and even business-process improvement mechanisms for community-based traders.
Tidalgo said that a “Negosyo Center” will be opened in the municipality of Buenavista on the first week of September.
The “Negosyo Center” in Cabadbaran City, meanwhile, will soon be housed in a three–storey building to be built in partnership with the local government, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Administration (Tesda).
Other “Negosyo Centers” will also be opened in the municipalities of Tubay and Jabonga before the end of the year, Tidalgo said.
Meanwhile, Tidalgo said her agency has readied livelihood assistance for the families of soldiers and policemen who were either killed or wounded in the performance of their duties.
She said DTI has already partnered with the Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines to provide beneficiaries not only with livelihood but with entrepreneurial and skills training as well.
