Pacquiao should consider retirement — Lacson
MANILA – Boxer-senator Manny Pacquiao should consider being a full-time public servant after his loss against Australian boxer Jeff Horn in an unanimous decision Sunday afternoon.
This was the statement made by Pacquiao’s friend and colleague Sen. Panfilo Lacson noting that he was only concerned for his future.
On his official Twitter account, Lacson also made a slight hints that retirement was the best decision Pacquiao could make.
“Lesson learned: It is best to leave the stage while the audience is applauding,” Lacson said in a subtle Tweet. However, it was not clear if he was indeed referring to Pacquiao.
Another of Lacson’s Tweets also expressed sadness for his colleague’s loss.
“Great day for Australians; sad day for Filipinos,” he said.
