Joey Generoso of ‘Side A’ performs solo

Joey Generoso has decided to go solo again.

The singer was already performing solo in various bars playing folk, jazz and even Bossa Nova tunes prior to joining the Side A band.

He will be performing at The Crowd Restobar in Madison Square, Pioneer Street in Mandaluyong City on May 15 and on May 29.

According to Richard Villanueva, entertainment director of The Crowd, Joey has always been a crowd-drawer.

Meanwhile, Joey expressed that he is excited to perform solo again.

“Actually ‘yung crowd sa The Crowd naging family na para sa akin. I’m so happy and proud na nangyari yun kaya lagi akong nag-pe-perform dito. Iba rin kasi ang pakiramdam kapag mag-isa ka parang ang sarap ng pakiramdam na back to basics ka na naman. I just play the guitar which I usually do before I joined a band,” Joey explained.

( Actually, the crowd at The Crowd has already become a family to me. I’m so happy and proud that it happened that’s why I always perform here. The feeling is different when you go solo, it feels great to be back to basics again. I just play the guitar which I usually do before I joined a band.)

In 2012, Joey released an album entitled “Joey G Stand,” which was number one on iTunes for three months.
