QC’s Mayor Joy Belmonte urges citizens to celebrate CNY at Banawe Chinatown

QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Everyone’s spirits are high and the joy is unparalleled as the Lunar New Year approaches. With them, Mayor Joy Belmonte celebrates Chinese New Year by urging Quezon City residents to enjoy the planned festivities at Banawe Chinatown.

She advertises the drum and lyre competition, the POPQC CNY bazaar, cooking demo, ampao making, lantern making, pottery, and giant tikoy tasting on her social media platforms. She also teases surprise performances for tonight, adding suspense to the already well-anticipated fireworks show that comes with the celebration of the Lunar New Year.
