LRT-1, LRT-2, MRT-3 appreciate commuters for Valentine’s Day

MANILA, Philippines — The managements of the three mass rapid transit systems in Metro Manila showcased their unique surprises for commuters during yesterday’s Valentine’s Day, February 14.

The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC), with the assistance of the PNP NCRPO – MPD (District Mobile Force Battalion), gave floral gifts and serenaded commuters at the LRT-1 Central Terminal, transforming the daily commute “into a moment of community and appreciation”.

On the LRT Line 2, officials from the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) performed serenades and handed out crochet flowers with hygiene products to commuters at the Araneta-Center Cubao Station.

The PCG’s CGK9-EOD Force personnel, meanwhile, aided the DOTr Metro Rail Transit (MRT) in distributing red roses to commuters across the Line 3 stations, including North Avenue and Magallanes.
“Parte ito ng Intensified Community Awareness Assistance Response and Enforcement (ICARE) Program ni Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan, sa pakikipagtulungan ng PCG Auxiliary 107th Squadron,” the DOTr MRT-3 management wrote in a post.
