PASAY CITY — New facilities at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 have been opened to the public on Tuesday, upon their launch led by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
The newly added amenities include the new immigration e-gates allowing passengers to clear immigration in as early as 20 seconds; an all-Filipino food hall and mezzanine food hall where travellers can rest, dine, and interact; and the dignitaries’ lounge reflecting “the Filipino values of warmth, respect and hospitality.”

The palace described these developments as marks of a “significant milestone in the administration’s goal of transforming the country’s primary gateway into a more comfortable, efficient, people-centered, and globally-competitive airport.”
“Hindi lamang ito usapin ng imprastraktura. Ito ay usapin ng malasakit—ng pag-unawa sa pagod, pangamba, at pananabik ng bawat Pilipino at bisitang dumarating sa ating bansa,” Marcos said in a speech.
(This is not only a matter of infrastructure. This is a matter of compassion, of understanding the exhaustion, uncertainty, and excitement of every Filipino and those who are visiting the country.)

The president also led the launch of the Medical Tourism Concierge Area, providing efficient and compassionate health assistance to patients in need.
“Ito [rin] ay patunay na iginagalang natin ang oras ng bawat biyahero at pinahahalagahan ang kanilang dignidad—sapagkat ang maayos na serbisyo ay karapatan ng bawat Pilipino,” Marcos said.
(This is also a testament that we are respecting the time of each passenger, and we are putting importance on their dignity—because quality service is a right of every Filipino.)

In addition, the Transit Tour initiative by the Department of Tourism (DOT) was introduced to offer foreign passengers with long layovers a chance to explore the Philippines.
