P4.7-M drugs seized, 101 drug suspects nabbed in southern Metro Manila

MANILA – The Southern Police District (SPD) seized PHP4.7 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 101 suspects in 74 operations launched from Dec. 1 to 7.
In a report on Monday, SPD chief Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo said operatives seized 673.23 grams of shabu, 364.80 grams of marijuana, and 47.78 grams of kush, along with 47.78 grams of ecstasy, and 17 vape devices with marijuana or cannabis oil with an estimated value of PHP4,743,032.
Of the arrested suspects, 10 are considered high-value individuals (HVIs), while 91 were street-level individuals (SLIs),
Arceo said these accomplishments highlight the steadfast commitment of SPD personnel to combat the proliferation of illegal drugs and to safeguard the communities they serve.
Arceo also reported the arrest of 65 wanted persons across its various police stations in the same period.
The operations targeting high-profile fugitives resulted in the apprehension of 17 top most wanted persons, 13 most wanted persons, and 35 other wanted persons.
“These accomplishments are the result of the sustained efforts, coordination, and professionalism of our personnel in the field. Every successful arrest reflects the commitment of our men and women to pursue fugitives and uphold the law, ensuring the safety of our communities,” Arceo said.
The SPD covers the cities of Makati, Pasay, Taguig, Parañaque, Las Piñas and Muntinlupa, as well as the municipality of Pateros.
