Made waves with a sold-out album launch and fanmeet at Skydome

“Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11” finalist Rain Celmar has launched her debut extended play (EP) “b luvd” that explores themes of love and life from a young adult’s perspective.

The multi-genre EP has five tracks, including “eyes open,” “b luvd,” “ligaya,” “miss senti(mental),” and “pahuway.”

The key track “b luvd,” composed by her fellow Kapamilya artists Fana, Jarea, and Jeremy G, delves into waiting for love in the midst of mixed signals in a relationship.

Meanwhile, Rain co-wrote three songs, “eyes open,” “miss senti(mental), and “pahuway,” which are in Filipino, English, and Bisaya, reflecting her roots as a Cebuano.

Upon its release, the EP topped the iTunes Philippines and Singapore albums chart while its five tracks dominated the songs chart. It also debuted in iTunes Worldwide albums chart at no. 67.

The album was formally launched via a sold-out fan meet titled “Meteor Rain” at the SM North Edsa Skydome and Rain expressed gratefulness for the outpouring of support she received in her first step as a recording artist.

“To my incredible Raindears, shippers, family, and friends, you all turned my first album launch “Meteor Rain” into an unforgettable moment in my life! Your support, love, and presence mean everything to me. I see all the effort and sacrifices you’ve made, and I’m beyond blessed to have you all in my life,” Rain said in her Instagram post.
