On April 5th, 2025, friends and family from the Ateneo community gathered at the Hilton  Vancouver Metrotown for an unforgettable evening in support of the Ateneo Scholarship Fund  and BC Cancer Foundation. The night was a celebration of hope, filled with entertainment and  generous giving.

In attendance was Her Excellency, Dr. Gina A. Jamoralin, Consul General of the Philippines. As a  respected figure in both the diplomatic and Filipino communities, her presence reinforced the  importance of fostering strong ties between Canada and the Philippines. Also present was  Councilor Maita Santiago of the City of Burnaby, who showed her strong support for the  community and how important it is for leaders and groups to come together for great causes.

Opening the night’s entertainment was rising local artist Ysabelle Santa Ana, who serenaded  the audience with her soulful voice and smooth melodies. The highly anticipated performance  by beloved international Filipino singer, Ms. Joey Albert, was a special highlight of the evening.  Ms. Albert captivated the audience with her heartfelt renditions of popular songs, leaving  everyone on their feet, dancing the night away.

The funds raised will benefit two important causes: the BC Cancer Foundation and the Ateneo  Scholarship Fund. The Ateneo Scholarship Fund has empowered over 20 Atenean scholars to  pursue their dreams of higher education and is currently supporting five scholars across Ateneo  de Manila, Naga, Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao. Both organizations are committed to  making a significant impact, and the generosity shown throughout the evening will help with their initiatives.

To support the Ateneo Scholarship Fund, consider joining the Monthly Direct Debit Sponsorship  Program. For as little as $10 a month, you can help ensure that more deserving students have  access to a high-quality education. Simply follow the link:
