QC court orders Quiboloy’s transfer to city jail

MANILA – The Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) trying the cases against religious leader Apollo C. Quiboloy and his co-accused has ordered their “immediate” transfer from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame to the Quezon City Jail.

In an order dated Sept. 9, Judge Noel L. Parel of the RTC Branch 106, ruled that Quiboloy and co-accused Cresente Canada be committed to the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas Road, Bagong Silangan.

The three other female co-accused — Jackielyn W. Roy, Ingrid C. Canada, and Sylvia Cemañes – were ordered transferred to the QC Jail- Female Dormitory in Camp Karingal.

The order also set the arraignment of the five accused on Sept. 13.

The five were apprehended on Sept. 8 at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Davao City.

Quiboloy has also been indicted by a United States federal grand jury for conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion and sex trafficking of children; conspiracy; and bulk cash smuggling.
