Kapamilya artist Jason Dy muses on the lingering questions of dying love in his new dance-pop single “Magsabi Ka Lang” set to be released this Friday (March 1).
Jason revealed that he wrote the track along with his previous singles “Gusto Ko Pa” and “Ulit-Ulit” that mirrors the stages of grief.

“‘Magsabi Ka Lang’ is part of a series of songs that I wrote together with my previous releases ‘Gusto Ko Pa’ and ‘Ulit-Ulit’ that are kind of representations of the stages of grief. Grief in the sense of a dying relationship. ‘Gusto Ko Pa’ is about denial, ‘Ulit-Ulit’ is on anger, and ‘Magsabi Ka Lang’ is bargaining,” Jason explained.

The singer-songwriter teased the song on social media with the caption, “Kung ayaw mo na, magsabi ka lang.”

Last year, Jason dropped “Ulit-Ulit” as his first single under Star Music. Now, he looks forward to releasing more music and doing concert tours this year while also appearing as a judge in the new season of “Tawag ng Tanghalan.”

“I’m hoping to release more singles and collaborate with other artists. I just recently became a hurado on “Tawag ng Tanghalan” which is super fun. Kind of like a full circle moment. And we’re cooking up some concert tours with fellow Cornerstone artists here and abroad,” he shared.

As he nears his 10th anniversary in the music industry, Jason looks back with gratitude on his big breakthrough after winning “The Voice Philippines” season 2.

“The journey has been nothing short of amazing. I’m going into my 10th year in the business and it still feels like ‘The Voice’ happened yesterday. I’m just very thankful that I get to do what I do and there are people out there who continue to support me,” he said.
