Noli’s “KBYN: Kaagapay Ng Bayan” shortlisted as Best Public Affairs Program in New York Festivals
Only Philippine entry in News: Program category
ABS-CBN News’ “KBYN: Kaagapay Ng Bayan,” hosted by Kabayan Noli de Castro, made it to the shortlist of this year’s New York Festivals TV & Film Awards as the Philippines’ sole entrant in the News: Best Public Affairs Program category.
The shortlist, which is composed of various TV and film entries from around the world, was released by the organization on its official website.
“KBYN” served as Noli’s television comeback in April 2022 that featured inspiring success stories as well as the struggles of ordinary Filipinos every Sunday afternoon. Currently, the show has pivoted into a special segment in “TV Patrol” titled “KBYN Special Report.” Episodes of “KBYN” are available on the YouTube channel of ABS-CBN News.
Aside from this prestigious honor, “KBYN” also represented the Philippines in the 2022 Asian Academy Creative Awards when it was named as the national winner in the Best Current Affairs Programme or Series category. Meanwhile, Noli was awarded as the Most Outstanding Public Affairs Show Host for “KBYN” at the 5th Gawad Lasallianeta last January.
