ABS-CBN TFC offers DonBelle movie screenings and live appearances plus Barrio Fiesta in Dubai during UAE’s long National Day weekend

DUBAI, December 2, 2022 – If the U.S. kicked off the holiday season with its four-day Thanksgiving weekend last week, another huge long four-day holiday weekend is happening this time 7,822 miles away from the U.S. This is the the 51st National Day of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) which is celebrated on December 2. The occasion marks the day of unity among Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Al-Ain, Sharjah, and Umm al-Quwain to become the United Arab Emirates (the seventh emirate, Ras Al Khaimah, joined later). This also means that the country’s residents get December 1 to 4 off.
As part of its commitment to service, ABS-CBN TFC prepared an exciting line-up of events and invites the entire local Filipino community to attend exciting back-to-back-to-back events during the long holiday weekend.

- December 2, Friday, 5:30pm – Special Movie Screening of “An Inconvenient Love” with Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano at Oscar Cinema, Abu Dhabi
- December 3, Saturday, 10:00am – A year-ender Thanksgiving at “Barrio Fiesta Dubai 2022” at Zabeel Park Gate 5.
- December 4, Sunday, at 3:30pm and 4:35pm- Special Movie Screenings of “An Inconvenient Love” with Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan at Star Cinemas, Al Ghurair Mall Dubai.
“AN INCONVENIENT LOVE” SPECIAL MOVIE SCREENINGS WITH MEET & GREET
The highly popular next generation Filipino loveteam of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano (DonBelle) flew all the way to UAE to be with their fans for the special screenings of their second movie together, “An Inconvenient Love”. The rom-com, directed by “Hello Stranger” filmmaker Petersen Vargas, marks the return of ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema and TFC to the big screen after the two-year pandemic hiatus.
The special movie screening includes a Meet & Greet with Donny and Belle in Abu Dhabi on December 2, 5:30pm at Oscar Cinema, Al Wahda Mall. On December 4, people from Dubai will have their chance to see the loveteam live at Star Cinemas, Al Ghurair Mall at two separate timeslots: 3:30pm and 4:45pm. Each ticket comes with a free popcorn and drink, an opportunity to ask Donny and Belle a question, and a souvenir groufie picture with the couple.

BARRIO FIESTA DUBAI: UAE’s BIGGEST FILIPINO PRE-CHRISTMAS FIESTA
ABS-CBN’s iWantTFC and TFC joined hands with Mai Dubai, Philippine Airlines, MX3, and PPYPL by iRemit to present “Barrio Fiesta Dubai 2022”, the premier pre-Christmas celebration for Filipinos in UAE.
The star-studded event features Kapamilya stars Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, Angeline Quinto, AC Bonifacio, Kyle Echarri, and comedian host Eric Nicolas. Recent reports also confirmed the participation of Emirati singer Alira, the hitmaker countertenor whose videos of his amazing renditions of Filipino songs have gone massively viral.
Overseas Filipinos, their families and friends are guaranteed to enjoy the show and a day filled with fun activities. One ticket provides access to the following:
