St. Lawrence Market to host job fair on Wednesday, November 23

To support the St. Lawrence Market merchants and work together on the success of Market businesses, the City of Toronto will host a job fair on Wednesday, November 23. The job fair will assist merchants in hiring staff for the busy winter holiday season, as well as fill vacant positions to staff the Market’s expanded hours of operation.

St. Lawrence Market job fair details:

Date: Wednesday, November 23

Time: 3 to 6 p.m.

Location: South Market (main building), 91 to 95 Front St. E.

Toronto residents who are interested in a position at the St. Lawrence Market can access the job fair by entering through the main Front Street entrance and speaking to City staff who can direct them to the various shops that are hiring within the building.

Merchants will accept résumés and conduct interviews on site for positions including cashiers, raw food and prepared food sales, culinary support (cooks, butchers and grocers), as well as customer service positions. Some entry-level positions include hourly wages of $16 to $20 per hour.
