Fire hits Comelec rented building in Intramuros
MANILA – A fire hit the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office at the Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila on Sunday.
According to the initial report of the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), the fire started at the 7th floor of the building at around 6:53 p.m.
The BFP said the Manila Fire District reported that the fire reached second alarm at 7:02 p.m.
Acting Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said Comelec security guard reported that all personnel and duty staff “are safe and all accounted for.”
“BFP is on top of the situation and the fire is under control. We’ll report as soon as were on site and able to assist in the assessment,” he told the media.
In a Facebook post, the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office said the blaze was declared “fire out” at 8:18 p.m.

If the files are diminish by the fire then someone setup this just to secure things. But I know that this is a secured government facilities and their files are protected from diminishing because they have also a soft copy
