Gov’t reserves parcels of land for IT centers, industrial park
MANILA – Outgoing President Rodrigo R. Duterte has issued three new proclamations reserving parcels of land for Information Technology (IT) centers and an industrial park.
Duterte signed Proclamation No. 1391 creating and designating a building and the parcel of land located along 1 Theater Drive, Circuit, Barangay Carmona, Makati City as an IT center.
“…I, Rodrigo Roa Duterte, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby create and designate a building, with a gross floor area of 83,824 square meters, more or less, and the parcel of land upon which the building stands, located along 1 Theater Drive, Circuit, Barangay Carmona, Makati City, as an Information Technology Center to be known as the Circuit Corporate Center 1…” the proclamation read.
The area covers 2,924 square meters.
He also signed Proclamation No. 1392 creating and designating a building and the parcel of land located along 3 Theater Drive, Circuit, Barangay Carmona, Makati City, as a Special Economic Zone (IT Center).
“I, Rodrigo Roa Duterte, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby create and designate a building, with a gross floor area of 46,817 square meters, more or less, and the parcel of land upon which the building stands, located along 3 Theater Drive, Circuit, Barangay Carmona, Makati City, as an Information Technology Center to be known as Circuit Corporate Center 2…” the proclamation read.
The area covers 3,572 square meters.
Duterte also signed Proclamation No. 1394 designating several parcels of land located in Barangay Santiago, Sto. Tomas City, Batangas, for inclusion in the existing light industry and science park III-Special Economic Zone pursuant to Republic Act 7916 or the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Act of 1995.
SEZ refers to selected areas with highly developed or which have the potential to be developed into agro-industrial, industrial, tourist/recreational, commercial, banking, investment and financial centers.
These parcels of land are Lot 2940, Lot 2941, Lot 2942, Lot 2952, Lot 2953, Lot 2954-A, Lot 2956-A, Lot 2958, Lot 2960, Lot 5, and Lot 6.
Duterte signed all proclamations on June 13.
