Celebrate Philippine Independence Day and Filipino Heritage this June with GMA Pinoy TV

In celebration of the Philippine Independence Day, GMA Pinoy TV treats Kapuso abroad with new shows and movies that celebrate freedom and Pinoy heritage.

Premiering this June 6 is the romance-mystery mini-series “Love You Stranger” starring real-life couple Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos on their first-ever primetime TV series together. The show, created by GMA Public Affairs, tells the story of a film designer named LJ (Gabbi) and a charming young director named Ben (Khalil) whose love story blooms along with the mysteries that begin to unravel in Sta. Castela.

Also airing on June 6, GMA Entertainment Group brings forth the intriguing series “The Fake Life.’’ The story revolves around a family that realizes they are not living the life they thought they have. Headlining the series are Ariel Rivera as Onats Villamor, Sid Lucero as Mark Santiaguel, and Beauty Gonzalez as Cindy Villamor.

This June, GMA Pinoy Blockbuster features movies for the Father’s Month Special. Catch “Susmaryosep! Four Fathers” (June 5) is a comedy-drama with four stories about different priests with personal issues.

On the celebration of the Philippine Independence Day, watch the historical biopic “General Emilio Aguinaldo: The First Philippine President” (June 12) whose passion lit the spark of the revolution against Spain and America and forged the founding of the first democratic republic in Asia.

“Sapi” (June 19) is about a young TV-News presenter and his producer who end up bringing evil into their own homes when they cover a case of demonic possession.

“Balut Country” (June 26) follows the journey of Jun, an heir to the duck farm left to him by his late father, who must decide whether to sell the property to secure his future, or to spare the land’s loyal caretakers from the inevitable displacement.

Kapuso abroad can also see  the next generation of basketball stars with Kapuso stars – something for the whole family — with the “GMA NCAA All Star Basketball Game.” Airing live on GMA Pinoy TV, catch the NCAA student-athletes compete in a friendly game with Kapuso stars on June 5.
