CSC photo contest brings to fore pandemic heroes
MANILA – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is hosting a nationwide photography contest for state workers to capture the stories of the heroes behind the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.
The contest aims to highlight through images the various ways the country’s civil servants have risen to the challenges brought about by the pandemic, the CSC said on its website.
Deadline of submission of entries is on July 30.
The contest is part of the 121st Philippine Civil Service Anniversary and will be open to all government workers regardless of employment status.
Employees of the CSC, including their relatives up to the second degree of affinity or consanguinity, are not eligible to join.
Regional and national winners will be awarded in a virtual recognition ceremony on Sept. 22, 2021.
Aside from cash prizes, winners will have their works featured on the CSC website and across its social media accounts.
There will be three winners per region and they will receive PHP10,000 in cash.
Each entry should adhere to the contest theme “Pagtugon ng Lingkod Bayani sa Patuloy na Hamon ng Pandemya (Civil servants’ response to the continuing challenges of the pandemic)”.
Contestants should submit their entries via email to CSC regional offices to which they belong.
