Richmond Night Market to return ‘mid-July’
Richmond Night Market is coming back this year.
Although the exact date for its reopening has yet to be announced, the market said in a Facebook post that they will be returning in “mid-July.”
This comes after it was announced that British Columbia will be moving into step three of its restart plan on July 1, where fairs, festivals, and trade shows with communicable disease plans may resume.
Indoor organized gatherings of 50 people or up to 50 percent of a venue’s total capacity, whichever is greater, and outdoor organized gatherings of 5,000 people or up to 50 percent of the venue’s total capacity, whichever is greater, will also be permitted in the province’s transition to step three, among others.
“Let’s reconnect and get back together again this summer!” the market said.
Before the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the market normally opens from May to October, offering varieties of food, merchandise, and games that attract thousands of visitors every year. But due to the health crisis, it was not able to operate in 2020.
