Morissette celebrates 25th birthday with video of her singing ‘I’m Here’
“Asia’s Phoenix,” Morissette, posted a video of herself singing Cynthia Erivo’s “I’m Here,” as she celebrated her 25th birthday.
The Filipino singer uploaded the clip on Wednesday, June 2, along with the caption, “… ’cause we gonna keep saaaangin’ out!!!! cheers to finally hitting SILVER!”
Morissette expressed gratitude for all the birthday greetings and for the love she receives, saying, “I couldn’t ask for anything better than to just be healthy and happy, which I am. So excited for this next chapter filled with more music, experiences, and stories to share.”
Other Filipino singers, meanwhile, commented on her post to greet her on her special day.
Her fiancé, Dave Lamar, also wrote a sweet message, telling Morissette, “Thank you for shining that beautiful light of yours, mi love! I adore you with all my heart and wish nothing but happiness and a life full of adventures! Continue to bless people with your supernatural voice and smile!”
It was last year when the couple announced their engagement. Morissette shared photos of them on a rooftop with a stunning view of the sunset, while Dave posted a clip of their sweet moments there.
On her December 2020 post, Morissette said, “Nine years since we’ve met, best friends for seven, our second round at love, each other’s firsts.. and now, last and only.”
“It’s definitely a Y E S to a forever with you!” she continued.
Dave, on the other hand, thanked his soon-to-be wife for “saying yes to a lifetime of adventures with me.”
“I adore you with all my heart and I am so blessed and excited that I get to experience the rest of this life with you by my side,” he added.
Prior to belting out ‘”I’m Here,” Morissette dropped her version of “Shine” last May, in celebration of the song’s 25th anniversary this year. The music video for “Shine” was uploaded on Morissette’s YouTube account.
