Ruffa Gutierrez ‘chases dream,’ takes up Communication Arts degree
“You’re never too old to chase your dreams,” actress Ruffa Gutierrez said as she announced that she is currently enrolled in a university to pursue a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Communication Arts under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).
Ruffa shared the news in an Instagram post, saying that she takes up this bachelor’s degree at the Philippine Women’s University.
The actress said that she decided return to school after working in the show business for more than three decades.
Learning about the news, her colleagues in the entertainment industry, including her two brothers Raymond and Richard Gutierrez, congratulated her and expressed their support to the actress as she embarks on her new journey.
“Not only do I want to fulfill a long-held dream and take control of the next chapter of my life, I want to set a good example for my children,” she wrote.
In April, Ruffa posted a series of photos with her daughters in the airport as she sent off her eldest, Lorin.
The actress did not bare other details in the post, like where her daughter was heading off to, but she said that Lorin is “graduating high school in June and will fly the nest to follow her dreams real soon.”
Prior to her latest announcement, Ruffa became part of the Philippine series “Love Thy Woman” with Kim Chiu, Yam Concepcion, and Xian Lim, among others, “Stay-In Love,” starring alongside Maris Racal and Kokoy de Santos, and “The House Arrest of Us,” top-billed by Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, in 2020.
