A known fortune teller in the entertainment industry, Madam Auring, passed away on Friday, October 30 at the age of 80. The death of Madam Auring, whose real name is Aurea S. Erfelo, was confirmed by one of her grandsons, Daryl Simon Pecson.

He took his and his family’s grieving to Facebook where he wrote “Grabe ang pinag daanan mo during your senior years pero (What you went through especially in your senior years was not easy but) you still worked hard for your family (us).”

According to Pecson, just some days ago, he was still talking to his grandmother.

While sad that he “will never see you again” nor hear her words of wisdom and corny jokes, he said that he will happy for she has “done everything you could to make us feel loved the way you know how.”

“Your struggles are over. You fought your battles silently. Magkikita na kayo ni Mama sa kabilang buhay (You and Mom can finally meet in the afterlife),” he added.

Her other grandson, Mike Pecson, also posted about her but as of writing, aside from these mourning messages, the family has yet to disclose the cause of her death.

The late fortune teller was also an actress, who joined the casts of films “Family Tree,” “I Will Survive,” and “Bikini Open.”

She became famous for a couple of correct predictions which are the victory of Spanish beauty queen Amparo Muñoz in the 1974 Miss Universe pageant in Manila and when Muhammad Ali won against Joe Frazier the next year in their fight in Quezon City; “Thrilla in Manila.”
