MANILA – The United States embassy in Manila has recently announced the cancelation of all immigrant and non-immigrant visa interviews scheduled through July 3 because of the quarantine measures in the Philippines.

“We will resume routine visa service as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. We appreciate your patience and understanding,” the embassy said in a statement dated June 11.

The embassy advised all affected applicants to reschedule their visa interviews via the embassy call center once the community quarantine is lifted in Metro Manila.

“There is no fee to change an appointment and visa application fees are valid for one year in the country where the fee was paid,” said the embassy.

Metro Manila remains under general community quarantine pending the government announcement of new quarantine classifications on June 15.
