8 new Covid-19 cases, 2 new deaths among overseas Pinoys: DFA

MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday reported that eight more Filipinos abroad were infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing the total number of persons overseas contracting the disease to 2,405.

Two new persons have recovered while two new deaths were recorded in the Americas, Europe, and Middle East or Africa.

No new reports were received from the Asia and the Pacific.

The total number of recovered cases overseas is now 828. The death toll has climbed to 279.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,298 Filipinos abroad are still undergoing treatment.
