358 rookie NCRPO cops complete public safety training
MANILA — A total of 358 police officers who graduated from a training program conducted by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) will be deployed in different stations in Metro Manila.
Lt. Col. Nelvin Ricohermoso, head of Regional Police Training Center said the graduates, composed of 276 males and 82 females completed the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) of the NCRPO.
He said these rookie police officers will be deployed in Metro Manila police stations for five months as their initial exposure to the community and actual police work.
He added they already took oath as police officers with the rank of Patrolman/Patrolwoman on Tuesday afternoon.
NCRPO director, Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said he is confident that this batch of police recruits will reinforce the dedicated and committed members of Team NCRPO in its intensified campaign against any form of criminality.
“This is my second batch of graduates since I assumed as regional director.
These were properly trained and have undergone a lot of trainings.
Their training was militaristic and they were handled by the SAF (Special Action Force),” he told Philippine News Agency (PNA) in an interview Wednesday.
The NCRPO chief also reminded the new recruits to strongly uphold their sworn duties to serve and protect the nation.
Their performance rating within the training will be their requisite to achieve permanent status in the national police force.
“They were hired to uphold high standards of integrity and take this chance to serve the public better and make the NCRPO proud,” Eleazar stressed.
Eleazar also reiterated his vision of an improved recruitment and training culture in the PNP as he believes this is one of the entry points of misfits in the organization.
