MANILA – Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said he has no knowledge about any supposed Cabinet revamp that may take place anytime “soon.”

“Wala akong naririnig (I have not heard of any Cabinet revamp),” Panelo said in a Palace briefing on Thursday.

Panelo said he has not heard whether Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar will be designated the next presidential political adviser.

Andanar earlier bared that President Rodrigo Duterte may implement “minor changes” in his Cabinet either during or after he delivers his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday (July 22).

“There is talk of minor changes in the Cabinet,” Andanar said in an interview over ANC on Tuesday (July 16) night.

Asked if he would be the next presidential political adviser, Andanar replied: “If he (Duterte) wants to move me to this position or that position, we serve at the pleasure of the President.”

Previously, Duterte bared that he will be transferring Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel “Manny” Piñol to the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDa).

The President said that he is also eyeing a military man to replace Piñol as the Agriculture department’s chief.
