Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Magnolia Hotshot 38-year-old Peter June (PJ) Simon officially ties the knot with his beauty queen girlfriend Bb. Pilipinas 2018 23-year-old Jehza Huelar during a ceremony at Antonio’s Garden Tagaytay last Tuesday, May 28.

Jehza took her guests’ breath away as she walked down the aisle in a white lace wedding gown by Kannah Designs as PJ waited for her at the end in a light blue suit.

It was a celebrity-studded wedding as stars from both sports and pageant industries were present. San Miguel Corporation’s (SMC) chief Ramon S. Ang and officials Robert Non and Alfrancis Chua joined PBA commissioner Willie Marcial and Magnolia governor Rene Pardo as principal sponsors, while Barangay Ginebra head coach Tim Cone, Magnolia head coach Chito Victolero, assistant coach Johnny Abarrientos and team manager Alvin Patrimonio join that list as well. Teammates Marc Barroca and Marc Pingris were secondary sponsors, while Jehza’s co-candidates from the Miss Supranational pageant Minh Tu from Vietnam and Sanjna Suri from Malaysia flew in to support her as well. Binibini sisters Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman, Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2018 Michele Gumabao, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2018 Eva Patalinjug, Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up Nicole Cordoves, and Miss Universe 2010 fourth runner-up Venus Raj were among the other queens that were present.

The guests used hashtags “simonspectachuelarwedding” and “JEHZtinedforPJ” to share their images and videos, Michele Gumabao even explaining in an Instagram post to her 431,000 followers, “On the way it was raining so hard, when we arrived it was drizzling, but by then everything stopped and the sun was shining bright. God is definitely smiling down at you both! May God continue to be the center of your love and relationship! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness together!”

After dating for three years, the basketball star and beauty queen got engaged on New Year’s Eve as they welcomed 2018. PJ immediately posted a photo of his proposal captioned, “You are my today and all of my tomorrows,” and Jehza also sharing, “This man had been holding his horses for a very long time in terms of commitment and marriage. He waited for years and prayed for a perfect day.”

The two had to put their wedding planning to a half after that, as the Hotshots fought to obtain the Governor’s Cup in the same year and as Jehza bested her luck in the biggest national pageant of the country for the third time.
