With seven years and counting, Kathryn Bernardo in a lengthy Instagram post on Saturday, May 25, makes their anniversary “an excuse to be extra cheesy” as she shares to the online world how her boyfriend Daniel Padilla is both her “dream guy and reality guy.”

The 23-year-old recalled the many projects that the on-screen partners-turned-real-life couple did by comparing Daniel to the characters he portrayed like Patrick from Growing Up (2011), Gino from Princess and I (2012-2013), Joaquin from Got to Believe (2013-2014), Dos from Can’t Help Falling in Love (2017), and Primo from The Hows of Us (2018).

“First, I’m thankful that you’re a lot like Patrick. You have that natural charm about you that you’re not even aware of. I’m also thankful of how Gino reminds me of you.

You tend to look arrogant at times, but you’re actually genuinely kind and always the first person to fight for love. I’m thankful that you’re like Joaquin, who’s always enveloped in some kind of mystery that never fails to draw me in. I’m thankful that you’re like Dos. You’re fun, you’re adventurous, and you’re such a natural at making people laugh. Of course, I’m thankful that you’re so much like Primo.

You have so much passion in everything that you do and you always work hard for your dreams. You’re sincerely apologetic when you need to be, and you cherish and prioritize the people you love above all,” she wrote.

However, Kathryn also writes, “But more than anything in the world, I’m thankful that you are you — you’re DJ, my tangi, my bal.”

She also states that numerous people have asked her how they stay in love after all these years, to which she says in truth, they also do not know the answer.

“Because for us, we just wing it—it’s not forced, it’s not planned, it’s not strategic. There’s no formula. But these I do know: Staying in love is a decision you make every day,” she continues.

To celebrate their anniversary, Kathryn and Daniel are currently enjoying Morocco.

The couple first met on the set of teen show Growing Up, then starred on more television shows after as more people recognized them as the love team Kathniel. They were also partnered up for films “She’s Dating the Gangster,” “Crazy Beautiful You,” and “Barcelona: A Love Untold.” In 2019, both celebrities announced temporarily not doing future projects together to help foster individual growth.
