Hashtag member Zeus Collins becomes first ever celebrity to snag 1M in ‘Minute to Win It’
It was an unforgettable day for Hashtag member Zeus Collins last Wednesday, January 9, with the 25-year-old making an easy 1M pesos after conquering the final challenge of the hit ABS-CBN game show ‘Minute to Win It: Last Man Standing.’
For the final challenge, Zeus was tasked to group 20 playing cards by transferring each card from a center table to five pedestals one at a time according to value. As the audience was kept in suspense, Zeus successfully completes the challenge not only within the one-minute mark but with seven seconds left to spare.
Before participating in the challenge, host Luis Manzano asks Zeus what he would do with the money if ever he wins, with the former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate stating that he would finish the house he started to build in his province of Rizal. In his words, “I’ve dreamed for a while that if I win this amount of money, I would get our house done in Rizal because it’s been a mess for a year,” adding, “It’s important for me to do this, because I want to make my parents happy.
” A video of Zeus’ parents is then shown where his mom shares that her son is “a kind, helpful kid,” who “really worked hard to take [their] family out of poverty.”
Zeus’ participation in the game show is part of their launch of a new season that started last Monday, January 7. Along with the dancer, celebrities like CJ Caguillo, Yam Concepcion, Bayani Agbayani, Judy Ann Santos, Juliana Parizcova Segovia, and Elisse Joson participated as well.
Like Zeus, CJ and Juliana were able to reach the final challenge during the first two days of the show’s relaunch, but neither of them was able to obtain the 1M peso prize.
